/ no — and this is the most common misconception. vellus hair has a fixed texture determined by genetics. removing it with a blade doesn't change the follicle structure. when it grows back, it grows back exactly as it was. the same fine, soft hair. always.

/ it depends on where your skin is right now. dermaplaning is not recommended over active, inflamed breakouts — but it can be a good option for acne-prone skin that's currently calm. we'll assess your skin at the start of every session and let you know what makes sense that day.

/ every 4–6 weeks is typical — that's roughly the rate at which skin cell turnover replaces the surface layer we're working with. many clients combine it with a facial or add-on treatment to get more from the same session time.
